Today was Addie's first day of kindergarten at the French School of Kuala Lumpur....and it went off without a hitch! She was so calm and hardly looked back....but I think I was nervous enough for us all! Mostly because we attended a new parents orientation yesterday afternoon that was entirely in French. Thankfully, we sat beside a friendly Frenchman who translated the "big stuff", so I think we are somewhat oriented.
Addie's school day is entirely in French....with even a special tutor session to catch up the English-speaking students. She seems to really like her teacher, Marie-Jose, and let us know that she made a new school best friend named Jasmine and also learned how to say her name in French (which is basically, "Adelynn"). We're counting it a success!
