Christmas in Seoul!

What a special Christmas week spent with the Wynn, Bonnie and the Martin crew at Yongsan Army Base in Seoul, Korea this year! We finally got our cold (and just a little bit of snowy) Christmas and the kids were thrilled!

The highlight of our time in South Korea was all the cousin fun and squeezing in some sights and delicious Korean food during our six days there.

Corey arranged a private tour of the DMZ (The Korean Demilitarized Zone and buffer between North and South Korea), which was just incredible...

The "Bridge of No Return"...

A South Korean guard (in green) monitoring the DMZ line (the concrete dividing line) with the North Korean solider (in brown in the distance) looking on....

Our tour guide was from the New Zealand Army and had been stationed in the DMZ for five months -- very thankful for these soldiers who are deployed over the holidays. Thank you Colonel James!

We also braved the freezing temps to hike Seoul Tower -- and the views were worth it!

We mastered the subway to see the sights, including the Palace and the changing of the guards...

And we celebrated Corey's appointment to First Star Brigadier General -- such a
well-deserved nomination!

We even made it to a "Cat Cafe" -- all the rage in Korea! Can you tell Jonathan is thrilled?

Some other shots...

Kimchi french fries and Bibimbap....

We miss you guys already -- thanks for such a memorable Christmas! We can't wait to see you in Bangkok this March!
