We just arrived home from a long weekend in Penang. We stayed with Taylor friends, James and Susan Allen, who have three young kids around the same ages of Addie and Abe. It was our first big road trip in Malaysia (about a 5 hour drive from KL) and Chip even got to come along! The Allens work with
YWAM Penang and were such gracious hosts, showing us all around the island during our short visit. It was such a memorable way to spend Easter and hard not to fall in love with Penang. Here is a picture from Wikipedia....
It's beautiful, and easy to see what it is considered an emerging market in Asia and home to several Western retirees and expats. It's a nice contrast to the city of KL with much less traffic and a little more character -- we can't wait to get back for a visit. Here are a few more pictures from the weekend.
