Malaysia is celebrating Deepavali this week (the Indian festival of lights) and the kids had today off from school. We have been enjoying the good-luck "rangoli" around town (colorful Indian rice designs) and Abe's class even made one for the parents!
We celebrated tonight with a traditional Indian dinner and the kids helped make a rangoli cake for dessert. I think Abe feels quite special because of his "Indian heritage".
Even Jonathan and I sported bindis for the evening (p.s. This is what 29 weeks pregnant looks like!)
