Gong Xi Fa Chai!
It's Chinese New Year's Eve here in Malaysia and the city is celebrating in a big way! 2012 is the Year of the Dragon, so its a big year as the dragon is considered the "mightiest" of the Chinese zodiac signs. Families all across Asia are gathering together and traveling to their hometowns for reunion dinners this evening. We joined some friends and neighbors at our favorite Chinese restaurant here in Bangsar, Chef Low, where the kids enjoyed tangerines and Ang Pow (money) packets and the adults enjoyed some really great food!
Lion dances and the light festivals will be happening over the next few weeks, so more pictures to come I'm sure! Happy Chinese New Year to you all!
