I wasn't able to have laparoscopy surgery, so the incision pain is pretty significant; however, I am so thankful to be home sweet home and even ate my first meal since Sunday (oatmeal with a side of orange!). Appendectomy in Malaysia...check
So I was sent home today after having an appendectomy on Tuesday evening at the nearby Pantei Hospital. Not my finest of weeks, but so thankful to be feeling better and to have had such great care along the way. I had what I thought was the stomach flu or food poisoning last weekend that persisted until my neighbor (who is a nurse) suggested I go to the ER on Tuesday morning. Thank goodness I did and God was so faithful...Jonathan wasn't traveling this week and able to go with me, a few of our friends took the kids for the day and our landlord happens to be the head anesthesiologist at Pantei and walked us through the whole hospital process -- even performed my general anesthetic and made sure we had the best surgeon for the procedure. Makes us feel so blessed -- thanks for all your prayers and concern!
