A highlight of our past weekend was attending an ACTS dedication service for a new Tamil (SE India) church plant here in Bangalore. There were over 400 people in attendance and Jonathan and I were again amazed at the indiscriminate and varied look of the body of Christ. Even within India, we somehow seem to be a bit sheltered to the even greater need beyond our own neighborhood. Although this particular church is still in the process of being built, is infested with bugs and unfortunately built a bit too level with the sewer drainage system, it was humbling to see their joy and contentment over such a “gift”. Another reminder for us that God is truly only concerned with the heart. They concluded the dedication ceremony with a south Indian meal for all in attendance. I only wish we would have captured a few photos---it was quite a day!
